Race Course
The classic starts at the Cross Country Ski Trails adjacent to the Jocelyn Township Office. The classic will be one time around the trail system.
The skating loppet will have the same start/finish area as the classic race. This is a 20 km skating loppet, with no tracks. The race course will be a minimum of 9 feet wide, travelling through wooded and hilly country. It will be twice around a 10 km loop.

Aid Stations
Feed stations with water, Gatorade, orange pieces and bananas will be located at about the 10 km mark and at the finish line.

Fees
$15 for entries postmarked before January 10
$20 for entries postmarked from January 11 to February 6
$30 for entries from February 7 to February 10

Entry fees to be paid in Canadian dollars and payable to: Jocelyn Recreation Committee, R.R #1, Hilton Beach, Ontario POR IGO. In case of race cancellation (insufficient snow), $2 of every entry fee will be retained for administration purposes.

Awards
There will be an Awards Ceremony at the Jocelyn Township Hall for the Classic Race at 11:45 a.m. and for the Skating Race at 12:45. Prizes will go to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers in each race, plus to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers aged 13 years (as of Dec. 31/06) and under in the 7 km classic race. There will be draw prizes for the remaining finishers. Awards winners not present at the ceremony will have a prize chosen for them. The major draw prize is an entry to Stokely Creek's Wabos Wilderness Loppet on Saturday, March 18, 2006. This includes a train ride on Algoma Central's Snow Train followed by a 26 km wilderness ski, a barbeque at Stokely Creek and transportation back to the train station in the Sault.

Lunch
The post race lunch will be held in conjunction with the awards presentation form 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A buffet style lunch will be available, free of charge to all race participants (pasta, salad, buns, beverages and dessert). A $5 fee will be charged for non-participants.

*From Sault Ste. Marie (Michigan and Ontario) take Highway 17E to St. Joseph Island turnoff
*Turn right onto Hwy. 548 and continue to the corner to the first stop sign and turn right; continue to the next road intersection and turn left at the 10th Side Road and continue until the P-Line where you will turn right.
*Follow the P-Line until you reach a stop sign and turn left unto Highway 548.
*After turning left watch for signs to the Jocelyn Township Office for registrations.
There will be signage along the roads on St. Joseph Island to help you along the way!
