Family Day
Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club is offering free rentals, lessons, and trail use for skiing as a special event on the new holiday. We hope to introduce new families to the great sport of skiing. Snowshoeing will also be available. The equipment will be available during either the morning (9-12) or afternoon (1-4) time blocks and a first come, first served basis. Race team members will be giving free ski lessons from 10-12 and 1-3. Hot dogs and pop will be available for sale by the Hiawatha Highlands staff. Complimentary cookies (baked by our club members) and hot chocolate will also be available. The fire pit will be burning to roast marshmallows and hotdogs. Come on out and bring a friend !!

Kilometer Count Deadline
March 31, 2011 is the deadline for submitting your kilometer count. Submit your totals from November 2010, to Marg Meincke at 253-6883. Prizes and gift certificates will be awarded at the ski club banquet on Saturday in the following categories
1. Everyone who submits their kilometers will be eligible for a number of draw prizes.
2. From the top 3 families, one family will be drawn to receive a family club membership for the following season.
3. From the top 3 male skiers one name will be drawn to receive a $50 gift certificate towards a season trail pass for the following season.
4. From the top 3 female skiers one name will be drawn to receive a $50 gift certificate towards a season trail pass for the following season.
