Letter to City Council from Roland St.Germain

July 26, 2006

We would like to express our distressed concern about the healthy future of the cross-country ski trails locatedat Hiawatha.

The ski trails are something, we as a family, look forward to as one of our winter recreational activities. We utilize the trails from December to march each season. Our children are involved in the Jack Rabbit program which they thoroughly enjoy, not to mention for the good health and well-being it provides to all of us.

We also see that the ski trails attract many out of town tourists (view the kinsmen parking lots on a weekend), mainly from the US, which helps increase local revenue at restaurants and hotels.

Please mediate this situation so that all Saulites and visitors can continue to enjoy this healthy activity for years to come.

Sincerely Concerned
