Soo Finnish Nordic skier Adam Kates won the Boyne Highlands Classic ski race on March 8, 2008. Race Team member Spencer Hogan was 12th overall in the 10 km event. On March 9, Adam was first in the 15 km Freestyle event. Other Soo racers competing in the Freestyle event included Spencer Hogan, Andrew Barbeau, Paul Barbeau and Danielle Buckner.
