The Dry Land Time Trial Series got off to a wet start, with a summer storm getting under way just as the runners toed the start line. As the last finishers crossed the line, the storm began in earnest, with thunder and lightning. Everybody took refuge under the picnic shelter and waited out the storm. Even Stanley had to give up on that chip monk that he’d treed, and joined the rest of us waiting out the storm. Results were as follows:
