24th Annual Trail Trot

The 24th Annual Trail Trot took place at Hiawatha Highlands, Kinsmen Park on a day with perfect weather conditions for trail running. Skies were sunny, the wind was light and the temperature was around 15c at race time.

In the 2km event, Evan Bodnar and Rachel Heimonen were the overall winners with times of 8:20 and 8:43. East View won the team event.

In the 5km race, Jack Carlyle was the first male to cross the finish line with a time of 18:24. Lydia Heimonen was the first female runner with a time of 22:03. The Sir James Dunn girls team and Korah boys team won the high school events.

Cameron Wilson was first overall in the 10km trail race with a time of 39:52. Jennifer Entwistle was the first female runner to cross the line with a time of 42:47.

Prizes for overall winners and teams were generously provided by The Athlete's Foot. Draw prizes were provided by The Athlete's Foot and Algoma Bicycle Company.

Thanks to the many volunteers involved in helping to make this another successful event.
